• Logging Off Web Portal

From Ed Vance to MIDNIGHT RIDER on Sat Feb 4 09:16:00 2012
    Mike,

As You know, I still Log On to the Web Portal once in a while, either to
Select Message Areas or to Look at a message of mine on it.

One day last month I went to cco.ath.cx once and Logged On, did what
I wanted to do and and returned to the Main Page, and closed the Tab on
    the browser.

IIRC (You know how my memory is) some hours later that day I went to
cco.ath.cx a second time and saw the Main Page open instead of the Log
    In page.

I think that is what happened, I might be wrong.

I never have figured out how to Log Off the Web Portal and always have
guessed that my connection would be Timed Out because it didn't see any activity from me later on.

Is there a wau to Log Off the Web Portal that I haven't noticed?

Or is there a Time Out setting for inactivity for the BBS?

    I'm just curious about it.

YES!, Ed's Head is a Very Weird one.

I don't want to be a SYSOP or even a POINT, I just am a User that likes
to learn some things that puzzle me.

    Thanks a Lot!

    Ed,
There really is not a way to log off, and it doesn't hurt anything on this
end. If you close your browser after you log off, there is a better chance
of it going back to the Log In page the next time. Otherwise, I think your browser will keep you "logged on" (but inactive) until it times you out.

    Nothing to worry about. :-)

    Mike,

    I wasn't worried, just curious.

I just Close the Tab instead of Closing the browser.
In My mind it's Same-O-Same-O doing that.

I have been using the Midnight Rider name for sending messages to You.

Would You rather I use Mike Powell, or does it matter?

Probably doesn't matter since You're the SYSOP and can see every
    message.
