Hey, first time posting to Retronet, but out of needing advice, I wanted to ask a simple question - on the 2005-2006 iMacs (I know, not that retro, but assume someone here may have dabbled with them), on a scale of 'so easy the GEICO Caveman could do it' to 'toss it in the bin' is finding and installing a replacement display for a Intel Desktop iMac from that timeperiod? I plan on selling mine and using the funds to go towards a Optiplex or other cheap home server setup so I can finally have my laptop back. I've never done hardware repair but I tend to easily learn new things, so If it requires soldering components, as long as there's good documentation for it, I'm up for the task. However, price is another factor, if it's too expensive I'm no going to bother.
