Hello, finally got back onto the BBS scene on my PC. I have a 520ST with
single side disk drive and I have a MegaST2 I am waiting on a new drive belt for the SS drive to fix it and a VGA cable and I hope to start streaming FROM the Atari Mega. I am currently saving for either a gotek or an ultrasatan. I have used the Atari since my father first bought it new in the mid 80s along with an Apple 2e. I used the Atari ST for school until around 1999 when we finally got a PC.

Cool! I miss the Atari ST that I had when I was younger. It was an Atari ST 1040F. There was a computer shop that did IBM compatibles and Atari computers, and they had a BBS. I would dial into the BBS and download games for the ST.

My dad got it to run packet radio off it. I guess it didn't work well, because I got it to play on, along with the Tandy TRS-80 CoCo that was in my room as well.

I miss that Atari ST; I would hate to see the price of getting a used one now.

I hope you get the MegaST up and going! Sounds like just some minor repairs are needed. If you are going to be streaming from your MegaST, let me know. I would be interested in seeing what the MegaST is like.

I love hearing about the "Retro" stuff. Are you guys on Retronet? Most of the hardware you mention I recognize but some I don't. I enjoying hearing what was available to you back in the day. Fast foward I do know there are some hard core gamers out there now with some serious equipment.. I've watched them on Twitch. I was hooked on C64 games and even PC Games eg Doom I-III. If I had the systems of today.. I'd never leave my room! HA!

Lovely! I had a 520ST in late 1986 and a Mega ST2 in 1988 (briefly). I loved them. I have a new 520ST setup w/ HxC2001 floppy emu and RAM expansion and I use it to BBS some, but it's not my main BBS machine. It's quite a bit of fun tho.

    Got pics of your setup?

I will post a pic this weekend on here. I should have it more or less re set up. I tore the keyboard apart last night to clean under the keycaps and to
fix some key issues I was having. Putting it back together tonight.

I had hoped to have my old Bubblejet printer up and working but the ink cart
I have is having a pin issue and is missing the second last line in a
sentence and the ink cart I bought they sent the wrong one. :(
