So, I'm making a BBS using Synchronet, and I was wondering how I'd go about creating/ adding custom art. I'm a total beginner at this whole BBS thing, so I'm sorry if it's kind of a noob question.

Hey everyone starts somewhere... Since you are using Synchro. Are you on Windows or Linux?? If Windows, I use PabloDraw, it is an ANSI file creator, I am by no means an artist but I can draw pretty boxes with it.. There is also another file called The Draw which a lot of people love also.. Hope that
    helps a little...

Personally, I use PabloDraw for making the art itself. It's a very nifty piece of software for ANSI art, and I can't recommend it enough.

As for the being a whole beginner part, there should be plenty of guides, tutorials, etc. to find after a bit of googling. By far the most important thing for getting better though, is practice. The more you practice, the better
you'll become. Especially if you practice consistently.

If anyone has any suggestions for software for creating ANSI art, they'd be much appreciated.

Cosigned with the other guys on ↓cePablodraw↓q1. It's what all of us text artists use- and there is a new version coming out soon with some great features! Very highly recommended.
