• Software rental (floppies

I wrote a bit about a local software rental shop we had in the late '80s / early '90s where I grew up in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. They rented software for the C64, Apple II, Amiga, and PC. The rented movies as well and
in time started selling Amigas (I bought my Amiga 1200HD there).

Did anyone else have such a place way back when?

Yes I did! And I really miss those computer stores. I loved browsing all the software and new computers. But then Comp-usa came to town and the little guys didn't stand a chance. There was Amiga store I was very fond of. I still use my old clunkers but I don't need much for BBSing. When one craps out there's hundreds of them on E-bay. Maybe my next laptop will come from Retronet ???
