Who out there has messed with MAME? I have also heard there was a system that could run Arcade ROMs?

I have placed over 4000 Arcade ROMs on my BBS to share.
Yes I am using MAME on a retopi arcade. I build a cabinet with zerolag controller boards and real arcade controls. Retropi and a 128gig image
with
something like 8000 games on it. It has a lighted marque which is powered
by
a arduino and animates. The cabinet came as a flat pack kit which I purchased
off of etsy and modified to my own specs. It has a coin button. Some selection buttons and two 8 button arcade 8 way joysticks. I usually power it
on when I have company and sometimes bring it to parties. I made it relatively beer proof.
