Beery, I've put my application in. Hopefully will be joining soon. You can
ssh into bbs.dragonsweb.org now, anyway. I will likely make it telnetable
soon, for 4A's etc. Also setting up a space to drag out my TI & Geneve stuff and get it going, among other things.

    Great.

Will you be running on a PI setup? Not sure if it was you or Chris that indicated about setting up a PI system or were you going to run a Windows setup.

If you want/desire, when you get up and running, I will see what it takes to possibly echo some of my other file and even message areas if you are interested. That way, we are sorta linked, but folks can get everything at either site. May help draw additional traffic, messages, etc.

MBSE? Not something I have heard.

I've got to see what terminal software will allow SSh. Not sure if PUTTY allows or not.

Sorry for the delay. I found this message when retossing bad packets (due to initial configuration snafus)

I'm running in a kvm guest on my creaky old C2D desktop right now. I'd be less interested in a PI setup than getting a decent server set up to run VM's on. I run a couple of simh-ulated Vax 750's running 4.3BSD out on my hosting as part of a retro-historical UUCP network, and I could put the BBS out there, too, but
for now I'm keeping it here, and if I can get a decent server lined up, it will
stay here and the UUCP nodes will come here, too.

I'm sticking with Linux. Easier to attach older hardware like old TI's and Geneves via serial link, too, and make them accessible over the network.

Definitely interested in echoing anything you care to share. The community really needs something to draw it back together, if you ask me. Your node could
be a focal point, without raining on anyone else's parade, either.

Oh, yes, PuTTY does ssh. Not sure how well it does ANSI, but ISTR that it does.
    Telnet is now available, btw.

Never mind; I got it to work. Had to override the address to remove the :9640.

I think you mentioned somewhere about a maybe a file echo here on RetroNet.
Is that what you're talking about? I'm always on for a full TI net, but it occurs to me that there is enough fragmentation already. Best to focus our efforts here, I would say. Have you taken this up with the Necromaster?

    later,
