All,
I'm getting pretty close to be able to release the SCART Genie. If you do
not know what it is I have it documented on AtariAge. The short version, it allows a Geneve user to be able to hook up a SCART monitor or SCART to HDMI upscaler with a couple of cables (straight through cables), it will also use the internal power of the Geneve to power my Sync Cleaner and output at the required 15kHz monitor requirement. I have also added an option to be able
to use internal monitor speakers or PC type speakers.
I am typing this message from my Breadboard design right now. This will give all of us Geneve owners another option to be able to use our Geneves without having to worry about soldering a damn DIN connector!
The video is crystal clear. Not wsure how much the board and cables will be until I get the first test batch in to test then I will be taking pre-orders.
To try and keep the cost as low as possible I will be ordering parts from suppliers overseas. It will take a couple of weeks to get them in, but it should reduce the build cost by 30%, at least.
I'll keep the updates going on FuSiON BBS, Heatwave, AtariAge and 9640News.

Neat, Chris. I hope we can get a TI/Geneve file echo going so relevant info, schematics, files, etc. can be posted to RetroNet, too, for things like this.

I have finished the breadboard design and it all works! I'm going to change out a connector with a 8 pin DIN that is more cost effective. The
connections are the same and pins lined up perfect but the mounting holes are spaced wider. I am waiting for my new connectors to get the exact
measurements before I order the test batch of pcb's.
All in all I am pretty proud of it. This little device needed to be designed quite some time ago. Once I got my hand into PCB designing with my guitar recording hardware I became more confident as I understood a lot more. I had
a thought one night to do one of these and thought it would be cool. So
that's where it started. I have a few other ideas I have jotted down that I want to do for the TI/Geneve too.
