From Ed Vance to MIDNIGHT RIDER on Wed Sep 21 20:06:00 2011
    Mike,

I got a load of messages in area 1070 FI_LINUX, 174 in all.

They look to me like they are old messages from area 1093 IREX.

Altho I am enjoying reading them to learn about Linuxie stuff.

Each message has the words "Internet Rex 2.31" at the bottom of the
    message.

The messages in FI_LINUX are numbered 1657 to 1830.
And they are dated 5-20-11 to 6-19-11.

I 'think' Me asking You to add the Commodore areas left a Gremlin loose
    in the BBS. :-(

    Ed,
I will look. I *think* the Internet REX message at the bottom is there
because IREX imported them, not because they belong in the IREX echo. That doesn't mean there are not old messages floating back into the area,
though. May mean the news server burped.

No, I think it is fine. SBBS (& the news server I pick up the newsgroups
from) already had gremlins long before we did that!

    Mike,

Since I wrote the message You are replying to I noticed the Internet Rex
byline at the bottom of some messages in the FreeDos area.

    Thanks for the explanation.

At least the old messages were 'new' to me, I did learn some about Linux
    from reading them.
