    │ Each time I Login to CCO using net2ftp, the file menu will tell me there
    │ IS a CAPCITY2.QWK file and will show the current Time for the file. └─[EV=>MR]

    Ed,
    That is a "dummy" entry. SBBS puts it there to make it look like there is
    a file there for the ftp client. It does not actually create the file
    until you select it. That is why it can take a moment before the download starts (although it is pretty quick about it, so sometimes there is no real delay).

    │ I'm supposing I am getting the Blank page when I ask it to send me a
    │ CAPCITY2.QWK packet, because SBBS didn't make net2ftp a new one for me
    │ if there wasn't any new messages for it to put into a packet.
    └─[EV=>MR]

    I am guessing that you are getting a blank page because there is a bug with SBBS or a connection glitch. ;-) As long as you are able to refresh it and get a page, I wouldn't worry about it.

    │ I'm just figuring that CCO probably transfers mail for GT POWER, FIDO,
    │ ILink, Piper Net, etc., etc. only once or twice a day and when there are
    │ no new messages in the Areas I have choosen to be in my .QWK packet,
    │ SBBS can't make one for net2ftp.com to Forward to me and so I get the
    │ Blank page on my browser.
    └─[EV=>MR]

    For most nets, it is only normally twice a day... between 0600-0630, and between 1715-1800. Dovenet transfers more often than that... maybe 5 or 6 times a day.

    │ Thanks for the suggestion to use net2ftp.com and for answering the
    │ questions for me about how to use it.

    │ I think that I am "IN THE GROOVE" about using it now.
    └─[EV=>MR]

    You seem to be doing fine. Good luck! ;-)

    Mike

    Mike,

    I was thinking that a long time ago You said that SBBS wouldn't make a
    .QWK file if there wasn't any messages to put in it.

    And since SBBS doesn't send anything out it confuses net2ftp while it is patting its foot waiting for something to be sent. ;-)

    Thanks for the Time info.

    Ed,
    I did not think of that! I bet that is what is happening. Because the file has a directory listing, net2ftp thinks it exists. However, if there is no new mail, it won't be created (and won't actually exist). Good thinking! ;-)

    That is sysop error, I believe. I bet I don't have this area set for dupe checking. I intentionally re-send the message packets between nodes because there is sometimes an unpack error. As long as the dupe checking is set correctly, it causes no trouble. That is something that has to be set on a message base basis. I forgot it for this one!

    Thanks!

    Mike,

    Net2ftp only sent me a .html page of the settings and agreement on it.

    I tried clicking on the CAPCITY2.QWK line again but got the Blank Screen I've told You about some time ago, because there wasn't anything left on the BBS to send to me.

    Before I leave the Web Portal tonight I will look around WINDOWSA&B to see what I missed.

    I am still using Opera for my browser.
    I even changed some settings in Opera to the way I wanted it.
    But no luck getting my FIDO mail today.

    I sent a message in a .REP to WINDOWSA while I was connected to net2ftp.

    I will look at it too.

    I think it is Opera that is causing my trouble this time because it has been sluggish.

    Or it may be I will have to do a Factory Re-Instal to get rid of whatever is bugging me.
