From Ed Vance to MIKE POWELL on Sun Jul 1 17:03:00 2012
    Mike,

The other day I was looking at several messages in the Ubuntu area 1077
using the Web Portal to read them because I'm attempting to use Ubuntu
    inside a vBox machine.

I checked to see if I had selected it to be put in my .QWK and saw I
hadn't so I selected the Yes option to start being able to read the
    messages in it.

I haven't seen any yet, but after sending this .REP packet I will log on
to the Web Portal to see if any new messages have arrived in it.

My question today is "Are the selections I make of Areas to Read while
in the Web Portal also selected in the ftp BBS that I use to grab my
    messages from CCO?

Hopefully I'd think if I made a change in the Web Portal or by the
Telnet boards etc. your system would makes changes to all of the ways a
user can access Your CCO BBS (Dial-Up, Telnet, FTP, Web Portal, etc.).

    Am I close?

I hope You have a very good Independence Day holiday this week.

    Ed,
I thought the answer might be "no," but I have just checked and the Ubuntu
area is indeed selected for your QWK packets. ;-)

I hope you did as well! I am just arriving back from a vacation, which is
why I am late in responding.

    Mike,

I just wasn't sure because I didn't know if 'my' QWK list was on Both
the OS/2 GTPower BBS box 'AND' the Ubuntu Synchronet BBS box.

On the 7th, I looked at the Ubuntu area in the web portal and saw the
last message was a month old so I entered a message asking if anyone was
    there.

Hope that you caught up with your self after getting back home.
After being away for a week it is kinda hard getting back in the groove.

It wasn't until late in the week that I figured out that the place
where you work had/has vacation shutdown during the week that
Independence Day is observed, just as my Dads factory did when I was
young and he took us on trips then.

After reaizing that fact, I figured out that you probably pulled the
plug on CCO in case of Bad WX while you were away.
