From what I've read in later messages was the fellow who tried logging
off the SBBS Web page he hasn't got it to work yet.

I don't think it will work. I did a little experiment. The default setup
for that ssjs "page" is to take the user back to their stats page. It does
not do anything to really log them off. Based on my experiment, the only way to really "log off" is to manually close the browser window.

There are various web apps that, when a user "logs off," it displays a page with a message that tells the user to close their browser in order to fully complete logoff. I am considering creating a page for the logout.ssjs to
point to that tells the user they must closer their browser to log off.

From what I can tell, users are never really "logged on" to the web board
like they would be onto GT. What keeps them "logged on" are cookies or
some other temporary files that get written by their browser on their end.
When they close the browser, these temp files are deleted, which "logs the
user off."

I would like to set up such a page anyway... I figure it is a way to
display some of the seasonal ANSI goodbye screens that the old BBS users
used to see when they logged off a traditional bbs. :D

No waste. Sometimes, it is neat to try something different. GT was more
easy for me to configure, so it was easier to play with back in the day.
It has been so long since I used some of those tricks I have difficulty remembering how easy some stuff was.

I was reading a packet I got on April 11th, 2013 using MM49 DOS and got
another one of those BLANKS in the Personal Message area.

I looked at that packet in SLMR and it is this message from You that it
didn't know anything about.

When I started MM49 again it didn't even show any messages in the
SBBSHelp (7) area was in the packet. I even used the L command to List
All Areas and there wasn't any indication of a message in SBBSHelp (7)
at all.

Ain't computers wonderful?

As you can see I'm using SLMR to write this reply.

BTW, I did get a reply from my email to David at net2ftp.com.
He said he had some Server troubles.
I was able to use net2ftp the day after I wrote You about it.
I haven't tried the other service called AnyClient but couldn't get it
to work.
I Registered the other day, thinking my unuse of the site may had caused
it to drop me, but after registering I never could get any response when
I tried using AnyClient anymore.

I may be the problem because I Removed JAVA because of hearing of JAVA
having problems.
It may be that AnyClient Needs JAVA, I don't know.

Are You still using JAVA?
